Dave Bain
biography
Dave Bain is a freelance, commercial illustrator. A Falmouth graduate, now based in Bristol, he works on editorial, promotional, advertising, branding and publishing commissions. Clients include: Time Out, Oxfam, Platform, Teenage Cancer Trust, Oxford University Press and the RWA.
Dave's illustrations are colourful, distinctive, wildly expressive and feature stylised characters. He's inspired by screen-printing and risograph techniques, colour combinations, jazz and electronic music and visual culture.
Dave is also a muralist, available for mural design and large-scale painting projects. He also lectures on illustration and works with The Association Of Illustrators as their national meet-up coordinator.
